Day 4 in the Land of Smiles: Bangkok (June 2015)

Day 4

Push cart coffee
Thai coffee served from the push cart. You can get your morning fix from these pushcarts. Cheap and good!

Lunch at Kyochon Chicken MBK

Endorsed by none other than Lee Min Ho
Honey Glazed Chicken
Hot and Spicy Chicken
The hot and spicy chicken is quite crispy but the honey glazed chicken has been coated with too much flour. I think they did a slight change in formula to cater to the Thais. Nonetheless, very pleased to have eaten at Kyochon. If you have no chance to go Korea and are in Bangkok, do try Kyochon!

Main Hall of the Grand Palace
The main hall of the Grand Palace is open for the public. However, shoes are not permitted in the main hall. One suggestion is to bring along a plastic bag to contain your shoes to prevent any possible theft.

There are a stretch of nice mythical paintings on the walls along the walkway of this building. Worth the look!

This is a huge reclining Buddha!

For a donation of 20 baht, you will receive a cup full of coins. You are supposed to put one coin in one urn that is lining the corridors of the main hall. This is located at the back of the reclining Buddha. In all there should be 89 urns and 90 coins. I guess you get to keep the last one?

Your entrance ticket comes with a complimentary bottle of water. Do claim them at the booth outside the main hall of the reclining Buddha.

Outside of the main hall, there are many huge pyramid structures. Yes, they call them pyramids.
