Day 3

Breakfast at A&W

Being Singaporeans, A&W is another must visit place for us when we are in a country with A&W. Hence we decided to reminiscence the good old memories of A&W root beer float and curly fries! 

Opening Hours:

0700 - 2100

The outlet that we visited is at Siam Square. It is conveniently located behind Siam Square One Shopping Centre.

I am missing A&W already. Wonder why no one wants to bring in A&W to Singapore when it is so popular among Singaporeans. We will only appreciate it when we lose it. 

Madame Tussauds at Siam Discovery

We purchased the combo package that consist of Madame Tussauds and Sea Life which costs a total of 1475 baht. It is only when I returned to Singapore that I realized you can purchase the individual tickets online at a discount. If you plan to visit the attraction before 12 noon, you can get a 40% off by purchasing the online ticket at only 510 baht.

Nichkhun

There are over 90 wax of famous people that includes politicians, singers, actors, soccer stars, artist etc. You can spend around 2 hours here taking photos with your dream celebrity. I would suggest coming here in the morning to avoid the afternoon crowd. You can also leverage on the 40% promotion ticket if you enter the attraction before 12 noon. 

Siam Center

Opening Hours:

1000 - 2100

Do not forget your tourist privileges here. The tourist card works for the 3 shopping malls there are adjacent to each other (Siam Center, Siam paragon and Siam Discovery). However, a minimum of 2000 baht is required and the amount cannot be combined between shopping malls. Tax refund is around 6%.

Madame Tussauds does not qualify for tax refund as the amount is already tax free.

The pad thai here is edible but the ones at Thip Samai are better. We finally found green curry after hunting for the past 2 days. The green curry is thick and certainly satisfy our craving.

Dessert wise, the thai tea crepe cake here is definitely over rated. The Lava cake is much better while the chocolate crepe cake is pretty ordinary. 

Sea Life Ocean World

Opening Hours:

1000 - 2100

Sea life Ocean World is located in Siam paragon, just adjacent to Siam Center. My friend commented that our SEA aquarium is a much better version.

We watched 2 feeding shows: penguin and shark. They were pretty interesting especially the shark show where the divers will tease the shark in the aquarium. The shark seems domesticated.

Mixx Club

Mixx Discotheque, located in the Intercontinental Hotel is opened till late nights. They will charge a 100 baht for an entrance fee with no complimentary drinks. You will have to buy when you are inside. There are people in the club, mainly hotel guests.
